"My story was born two years ago at a workshop of Mayra Santos-Febres. But The inspiration came from the story of the American writer Ambrose Bierce "The Strange Case of the Owl River Bridge ', which details the death of a soldier and speaks on the dark side of man before making a decision. The protagonist of my story draws the scene of Ambrose in the Owl River. I wanted to make a game like Escher's paintings that are out of the box, I wanted the picture of the story and jump out of it " says Arroyo Pizarro.
The author, who last year was part of the conference "Bogota 39", considered that their participation helps to "put Puerto Rico on the map."

With "Another story of Cats", Hugo Rios, based in the United States, where he finished a doctorate at Rutgers University, participating in the project. Created in 2003, the same part of the storybook "no portrait Marcos, awarded in 2003 by the PEN Club of Puerto Rico. "It was one of the last to be included (in the book)" , says Rivers.
The anthology was called by Trelles Paz, who also participates in the story "part surreal in the Harry Ransom Center."
"I was contacted via email me for some time To ask for some contributions to the anthology. He chose the story published ", says Rivers.
The creative process of the stories was a little aggressive with the author.
"That's one of my biggest problems. The stories I do not attack me and I them. I have some ideas reelin, sometimes for months, but not a word written. But when they do, they do chain. They go from two to five stories in a row, I write by hand and then start to copy them to eliminate words that are the size you prefer, "he explains."
