"Peruvian writer Diego Trelles Paz and Footer Colombian magazine just released the digital anthology The future is not ours: writers of English America 1970-1980, an extensive collection that serves as showcase of new Latin American literature. In addition to a foreword by Trelles Paz, the book has an introductory text Naief Yehya. The latter says of the anthology is a delight in its diversity and its brash proposals do not seek the shelter of the old lamps and American holy men. " Also stresses that "in this sense follows the path of anthologies as McOndo (Fuguet and Gomez, 1996) but fortunately the differences in tone, style and theme are remarkable. These authors are no longer required to break the magical realism, or the boom, or the crack or other traumas literary disposable. " The book includes texts by 63 authors, among them Venezuelans have Bachrich Roberto Martínez, Slavko Zupcic, Luigi Armando Castañeda, Jesús Nieves Montero and Carlos Villarino, Uruguayan Gabriel Schutz, Dominicans Ariadna Vasquez and Rey Emmanuel Andújar, Peruvians Santiago Roncagliolo and Alexis Iparraguirre, Yolanda Arroyo Pizarro Puerto Rican, Panamanian Carlos Wynter Melo, Antonio Ortuño Mexican, Ecuadorian Miguel Antonio Chavez, Cuban Ena Lucía Portela, the Colombian Pilar Quintana and Carolina Sanin, Bolivians Maximiliano Barrientos and Giovanna Rivero, and the Argentines Oliverio Coelho, Gonzalo Garcés and Andrew Neuman ".
