"Ecology and speed? These two concepts were so far as water and oil, but Shelby Supercars has jumped on the bandwagon of electric cars with a model called the Ultimate Aero EV. And seeing that the Ultimate Aero is descending fastest supercar in the world (beating out even the almighty Veyron), it seems that feelings are secured. In the words of Jerod Shelby, SSC Founder, the company believes it can deliver a product faster, lighter and cleaner than any competitor. At least you see them confident.
The new vehicle will be powered by an electric motor of 373 kW (371 hp), and is already considering a version of "high performance" with two engines. Testing will begin in February next year, before starting production during the fourth quarter of 2009.
